CIS Countries of Central Asia

The term CIS stands for the Commonwealth of Independent States, which is a regional intergovernmental organization consisting of former Soviet Republics. Central Asia, a region located in the heart of the Asian continent, is home to several countries that were part of the Soviet Union and are now members of the CIS.
