Jainism is an ancient Indian religion that traces its origins back to the Pre-Mauryan period. It was founded by Lord Mahavira, who is considered the 24th and last Tirthankara (spiritual leader) of the current era. Jainism is characterized by its emphasis on non-violence (ahimsa), truthfulness, non-attachment, and compassion. Here are some key aspects of Jainism: 1.
