Indian Administrative Service

IAS stands for the Indian Administrative Service. It is the premier civil service of the Government of India. The IAS officers are responsible for the administrative functions of the government at the central, state, and district levels. The recruitment for the IAS is done through the Civil Services Examination (CSE), which is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) of India. The CSE is a highly competitive exam and is considered one of the toughest exams in the country.
