Important Agriculture Schemes Govt Of India

 Some important agriculture schemes implemented by the Government of India:

1. Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN): Under this scheme, income support of Rs 6,000 per year is provided to small and marginal farmers in three equal installments. The scheme aims to provide direct income support to farmers and ensure their financial stability.

2. Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY): PMFBY is a crop insurance scheme that provides comprehensive insurance coverage and financial support to farmers in case of crop losses due to natural calamities, pests, or diseases. The premium rates for farmers are subsidized, making it affordable.

3. National Agriculture Market (e-NAM): e-NAM is an online platform that facilitates the trading of agricultural commodities. It aims to create a unified national market for agricultural produce and enable farmers to sell their produce at competitive prices.

4. Soil Health Card Scheme: Under this scheme, farmers receive soil health cards that provide information about the nutrient content and health of their soil. The scheme helps farmers make informed decisions regarding the application of fertilizers and other soil management practices.

5. Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana (PKVY): PKVY promotes organic farming by providing financial assistance and technical support to farmers for adopting organic farming practices. The scheme aims to enhance soil fertility, reduce chemical usage, and promote sustainable agriculture.

6. Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY): PMKSY focuses on enhancing irrigation infrastructure and water efficiency in agriculture. It includes various components such as the creation of water sources, distribution networks, and on-farm water management. The scheme aims to improve farm productivity and ensure water security for agriculture.

7. Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY): RKVY provides financial support to states for promoting agriculture and allied sectors. The scheme aims to strengthen infrastructure, enhance productivity, and support farmers through innovative projects and interventions at the state level.

8. Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana (PMKSY): PMKSY focuses on the development of the food processing sector in India. It aims to reduce post-harvest losses, improve value addition, and create employment opportunities in the food processing industry.

9. Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK): KVKs are agricultural extension centers that provide technical support, training, and demonstrations to farmers. They disseminate agricultural knowledge and technologies, promote scientific farming practices, and enhance the adoption of improved agricultural practices.

10. National Mission for Sustainable Agriculture (NMSA): NMSA promotes climate-resilient and sustainable agriculture practices. It focuses on conservation of natural resources, water management, soil health improvement, and the adoption of climate-smart agriculture techniques.
